  • The Hammond's School Dance program is an intensive training program for students aged 11 to 16. The curriculum aims to develop versatile performers who excel in auditions and smoothly transition into the dance industry. Students receive comprehensive training in various dance styles, including ballet, jazz, commercial, tap, modern, contemporary, creative, and Pilates, with specialised streams for ballet and tap to cater to individual skill levels.

In Years 10 and 11, students can choose between classical and contemporary or dance and musical theatre routes while continuing to explore other genres. Regular workshops with industry professionals enhance their skills. The program includes RAD ballet and ISTD tap and modern syllabi, offering exams up to Advanced 2 level. Year 11 students receive guidance on college auditions and refine their audition techniques through workshops.

The Hammond promotes a nurturing community that prioritises students' well-being and holistic development alongside rigorous training. Music and Dance Scheme funding is available for School Dance students and awards are allocated via audition.
