Performance Division Vacancies

    Job Description

    Β·      Dynamic and inspirational teacher of singing, working 1-2-1 with School, College and Degree  students

    Β·      To develop and improve the quality of vocal technique amongst students to ensure all students meet industry standards and expectations

    Β·       To develop student understanding of repertoire

    Β·       To collaborate and share good practice within the department

    Personal Specification

    Β·      Honours degree in singing, vocal, music or associated study, or extensive experience of vocal practice

    Β·       A recognised singing qualification

    Β·       Commitment to vocal health development

    Β·       Secure knowledge of vocal anatomy and vocal function

    Β·       Ability to recognise issues with the voice

    Β·       Industry experience (desirable)

    Β·       Accomplished pianist and sight reader (desirable)

Boarding Division Vacancies

    Salary: Β£31,000

    Job Role: Senior House Parent

    Accountable to: Head of Boarding

    Responsible for: The line management of boarding staff within a particular House, or across Houses as the rota dictates.

    Job purpose: As a resident Senior Houseparent, you will be a strong presence in boarding, helping to lead the supervision and guidance of staff for the safety and welfare of all boarding students. You will work with the Head of Boarding to manage efficiently your house, providing for the safety, good discipline and pastoral well-being of all boarding pupils, successfully enabling an atmosphere which is conducive to learning and growth.

    Salary: Β£26,000

    Job Description

    β€’ To provide support to boarding by sharing responsibility for the efficient day-to-day running of all aspects of boarding, in consultation with the Senior Houseparent and/or Head of Boarding.

    β€’ To liaise with the school’s medical staff to ensure the correct care and welfare of the pupils. (Basic first aid training is provided unless a qualification is already held).

    β€’ To care for all pupils, and to be sympathetic, caring, responsible and patient understanding of the age group.

    β€’ The Houseparent is an integral member of a team of house staff, supporting boarding in creating a cohesive and harmonious team, helping to leading that team in the Senior Houseparent's absence and assisting with a range of house duties or leading them in consultation.
