The Hammond is now an ISTD Approved Dance Centre to deliver the Level 4 DDE

We are proud to announce that The Hammond is now a registered centre to deliver and examine the ISTD’s Diploma in Dance Education qualification 🎉

Going forward, this means the DDE Level 4 qualification in Modern Theatre will be available as an optional course of study for The Hammond Professional Diploma students.

The Level 4 DDE is an Ofqual-regulated teaching qualification, which offers student teachers a clear pathway to becoming a qualified dance teacher with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and allows the opportunity to engage with up-to-date research in best practices related to dance teaching and learning. 

Hammond College students already have the option to study A-Levels alongside their professional training, and now the added option to study the DDE only enhances our already excellent provision.
