🙌 SCHOOL & COLLEGE WORKSHOP WEEK 🙌⁠ ⁠

We’re half way through a week of exceptional workshops and talks, delivered by our incredible line-up industry professionals. It’s a privilege to spend the week bridging the gap between our students’ training and the professional performing arts industry! We’re so thankful to all of our workshop deliverers for taking the time to get involved in our School & College Workshop Week 🙏⁠ ⁠

The week includes the following talks and workshops…

✨ SPOTLIGHT – delivering a casting talk for our graduating students, offering invaluable insight into the casting process and preparing them for life in the industry 🎬⁠ ⁠

✨ Jessica Joslin - Carley trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and has built a strong theatre career. Her credits include Oliver! and The Wizard Of Oz at the New Vic Theatre, How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying at The Company Music Theatre, and Beautiful – The Carole King Musical at the Aldwych Theatre. She also served as Dance Captain and Shirelle in the UK tour of Beautiful, 1st cover Mrs. Phelps/ensemble in Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre, and 1st cover Fantine/ensemble in Les Miserables at Sondheim Theatre.

✨ Kaitlin Howard – an Equity Registered Fight Director with extensive experience in both stage and screen. Her credits include Macbeth (RSC), A Taste of Honey (Royal Exchange), Sweat (Theatre Clwyd), and The Comedy of Errors (Stephen Joseph Theatre) ⚔️⁠ ⁠

✨ Sam Coates – a highly experienced musical director for the UK tour of Everybody's Talking About Jamie and musical supervisor for West End Live Lounge. He has worked on nine pantomimes at Blackpool's Grand Theatre, including the upcoming Cinderella for Christmas 2024 🎶

✨ Connor Tidman – leading Barbie workshops! Connor, trained at The Urdang Academy, has an impressive career across film, TV, and stage with credits including Wicked (film), Barbie (Warner Bros), Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, and The Bodyguard (Netherlands). He’s toured with Pixie Lott and recently worked as Assistant Choreographer on The Wizard of Oz for Royal Caribbean. 🎥💃⁠

✨ Josh Hawkins – delivering a contemporary workshop. Josh is the founder of Hawk Dance Theatre, with a passion for creating dynamic works blending dance with other art forms. His choreography has been performed across the UK and internationally, and he has received support from Arts Council England. Josh also works as a photographer and videographer for major arts organisations and choreographed for TV, including a performance in the 2023 Barbie movie! 🌍🩰⁠

✨ THEATACCOUNTS – offering vital tax advice for graduating students, covering everything performers need to know about managing their finances! 💼💰⁠⁠

✨ Callum Cartledge – delivering commercial dance workshops. Callum trained at Addict Dance Academy and Creative Academy, with credits including The X Factor Live Final, Bollywood films, and various BBC and Channel 5 projects. He also teaches and choreographs for dance schools across the UK. 🌟🕺⁠

✨ Theo UK Rose – leading Chitty Chitty Bang Bang workshops. Theo trained at The Hammond and Laine Theatre Arts, and is currently in the UK Tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. His credits include Dick Whittington, Beauty and the Beast, and Hollyoaks. 🎭🚗⁠

✨ Carley Stenson – delivering acting for screen workshops. Carley, known for her role as Steph Dean on Hollyoaks, has appeared in Holby City and the West End, starring in Legally Blonde, Shrek, and Les Misérables. She’s currently touring in Curtains. 🎬✨⁠
